Backdraft - My Favorite Movies Journal

Wow! I really loved the movie Backdraft. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Kurt Russell deliver some award-winning performances in this movie.

I also think Robert DeNiro was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie.When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.

I think Kurt Russell and Robert DeNiro worked wonderful in Backdraft. The great supporting cast includes Kurt Russell, Robert DeNiro, William Baldwin, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Scott Glenn.

You should see it, make no mistake this is a definite blockbuster!

Summary of Backdraft:

A somewhat contrived screenplay doesn't stop this thriller from serving up some of the most spectacular fire sequences ever committed to film. Like any Ron Howard production Backdraft is impressively slick and boasts a stellar cast, including Kurt Russell and William Baldwin. The actors play sibling rivals who have been at odds since the death of their firefighter father years earlier. Robert De Niro is the veteran fire inspector who is tracking a series of mysterious and deadly arsons, and Donald Sutherland is effectively creepy as the former arsonist who understands the criminal psychology of pyromaniacs. Rebecca De Mornay, Scott Glenn, and Jennifer Jason Leigh are featured in supporting roles. Backdraft is a triumph of stunt work and flaming special effects. --Jeff Shannon

In a final attempt to save the human race, a genetic engineering program was initiated in hopes of creating a new breed of human beings with special skills and abilities to benefit all of society.
