Avatar The Last Airbender - Book 1 Water, Vol. 1 - Movie Reviews and Your Movie Experience

Mysterious, visually beautiful at times, and surprisingly funny, Avatar: Book 1, Volume 1 is the exciting story of Aang, a 12-year-old reincarnation of the ancient Avatar, whose purpose (in an imagined world that seems both ancient and futuristic) is to restore peace and order between warring armies of the four elements: fire, earth, water, and air. At one time or another, over thousands of years, the Avatar has been embodied in masters of each of the elements. Aang (who is freed from a century-long sleep inside an iceberg) happens to be an "airbender," capable of using air and wind as powerful forces for moving objects and defeating hostile armies of firebenders. The feature-length Avatar follows Aang and a couple of friends as he becomes reacquainted with the world he knew before his 100-year hibernation--a world now lost to history. The story also concerns internal dramas within the unforgiving world of firebenders, who are intent on destruction and conquest. This engaging story, very pleasant to look at in its rich tones of blue and orange, is for all ages. --Tom Keogh

Wow! I really loved the movie Avatar The Last Airbender - Book 1 Water, Vol. 1. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Dante Basco deliver some award-winning performances in this movie.

I also think Melendy Britt was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie.When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.

I think Dante Basco and Melendy Britt worked wonderful in Avatar The Last Airbender - Book 1 Water, Vol. 1. The great supporting cast includes Dante Basco, Melendy Britt, Jack De Sena, Jason Isaacs, Mako.

I really loved the movie Mallrats [HD DVD]. I really enjoyed watching Ben Affleck in this movie. I also think Elizabeth Ashley was great!

Summary of Mallrats [HD DVD]:

From Kevin Smith, the acclaimed director of Clerks, comes this outrageous story of two loafers, Jeremy London (The Babysitter) and Jason Lee (Kissing a Fool), who spend way too much time hanging out at the mall. When Brodie (Lee) is dumped by his girlfriend, Shannen Doherty (Heathers, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun), he retreats to the mall with his best friend T.S. (London), whose girlfriend has also left him. Between brooding and visits to the food court, the unmotivated twosome decide to win their girlfriends back with the help of the ultimate delinquents, Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) and Jay (Jason Mewes), whose continuing adventures take the word "nuisance" to a whole new level.
